Shamrock mandatory Working With Children Clearance for all volunteers.

Hi everyone and welcome back to the Dundas Shamrocks for our huge 60th Anniversary year.

The Shamrocks takes the safety of all children very seriously. All Volunteers (Coaches, Trainers and Managers) and anyone that is involved with a team MUST have a current Working With Children Check (WWCC) number with an expiry date. Having a current WWCC number is a must for any volunteer helping with children under 18 years of age.

If you are new and considering volunteering for any of the above positions you will have to apply for a free volunteers Working With Children Check on-line at the NSW Office of the Children’s Guardian. Tt only takes a couple of minutes. You will need your Identification ready when applying.

The WWCC can take some time to be processed. Please ensure you apply in plenty of time prior to the season start.

You will receive an application number which you will then have to take along with your ID to Services NSW to complete the application, your application only last for 28 days so please do so at your earliest convenience.

The earlier the better before all clubs start getting their volunteers to do the same, even if you are unsure if you will volunteer having a WWCC is always handy to have, and it is free for volunteers.

TEAM OFFICIALS are advised to register as soon as possible and check their own WWCC expiry dates and ensure they renew as soon as possible to receive an updated expiry date.

Please send your new/renewed WWCC number & expiry /letter when you receive it by email to: info@shamrocksdundas.com.au.

Enjoy your year with us.
